Questions and Answers
Who can join?
Anyone 21 or older who works at, manages or owns a store that sells Nic Nac, in one of the program states: Washington, Arizona, Texas, New York, New Jersey, Michigan, Florida, Idaho, Oregon, Utah, Colorado and North Carolina. This program is for store employees only. It is not an offer for customers.
How do I sign up?
Tap "Join the Program". Log in with Google, or enter your email and we'll send you a one-time code. Use an email you actually check: you'll need it to log in and to receive your gift cards. Add your name and date of birth, find your store on the map and you're in. About 30 seconds.
I can't find my store.
Start typing the store name plus the city or street. If your store is on Google Maps, it will show up. Still nothing? Write to us through the support form and we'll add it for you.
Does my manager need to know?
Yes. When you sign up you confirm your employer knows about the program and doesn't prohibit it. Most owners like it: it helps the store sell more.
Can more than one person at my store join?
Yes, everyone gets their own account. Points go to the person who uploads the receipt for their sale. Each receipt can only be used once. .
Is there an app?
No app to download. Open the program in your phone's browser and add it to your home screen. iPhone: open in Safari, tap Share, then "Add to Home Screen". Android: open in Chrome, tap the three dots, then "Add to Home screen".
How do I earn points?
Sell Nic Nac, take a photo of the receipt and upload it. You get 50 points for every can on the receipt, any flavor, 3 mg or 6 mg.
What's "double points on the first five"?
Your first five cans earn 100 points each instead of 50. It's automatic. Five cans = 500 points = your first $5 gift card*.
How much is a point worth?
500 points = a $5 gift card*, so 1 point is worth about 1 cent.
Is there a limit to how much I can earn?
No cap on honest sales. Every receipt is checked, and unusual activity is reviewed.
How long does checking take?
Usually a few minutes. Some receipts go to a manual check, which can take up to 3 business days.
Why was my receipt rejected?
You'll see the reason in your account. The usual ones: the photo is blurry or cut off, Nic Nac isn't printed on the receipt, the receipt was already uploaded, or it's too old. Fix it and upload again.
How do I cash out?
Once you have 500 points, go to Rewards and pick a gift card: $5, $10 or $25*. It's sent to your email, usually within a few minutes, sometimes up to 24 hours.
Why do you ask for my ID before my first cash-out?
To confirm you're 21+ and that you're you. One time only. It's usually approved within one business day. If it's rejected you'll see why and can send it again.
Are rewards taxable?
They may be taxable income, and reporting them is your responsibility. If your rewards pass $2,000 in a calendar year, we'll ask you for a W-9 form, as federal law requires.
Do I have to tell customers I'm in the program?
If a customer asks, be upfront that you take part in a Nic Nac staff program. Always check ID: Nic Nac is for adults 21+ only.
What isn't allowed?
Uploading receipts for sales you didn't make, uploading the same receipt twice, or editing receipts. Accounts that break the rules lose their points.
I changed stores.
Update your store in your profile. Points you've already earned stay with you.
